The Philippine Botanical Art Society also known as PhilBAS was founded with the vision of Philippine arts centered only on Philippine endemic and indigenous flora species; with the mission to create awareness about our rich biodiversity; and to engage our countrymen to help protect and conserve our native species specifically the endangered ones through arts.
The Philippines is one of the 17 megadiverse countries in the world. Most of our flora species are endemic to our country but sadly most of them are threatened because of pollution, climate change, human activities like over-hunting, illegal mining, and deforestation that led to wildlife habitat loss. The Philippine Botanical Art Society aspires to inspire Filipinos through art to help in the conservation and protection of our native wildlife.
